I've been looking through photos on this wintry day at Lovegrass Farm and missing the gardens buried under snow.  It is interesting to note how late in the year the inflorescence's come out on Miscanthus Variegatus & Gracillimus.

  1. Wow, I am in awe of your grasses..so beautiful! I have a few, not many but they do add a lot of punch to a perennial border. I just trimmed them all off a few days ago now that ahem..ahem...winter is over ;-)

Thanks for following my blog. Will really enjoy using your blog as grass reference...such great photos.

  2. Thank You for your kind comments! As to Spring; I think maybe Mother Nature is going to jump right from Winter into Summer one of these weeks and skip Spring all together!:)

  3. Our Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus' is just starting to head up here in the garden. We have two clumps and while other grasses are dried as wheat...these two are yet to bring us joy. It is a very late long autumn here in Nova Scotia.
